£20,000 bi-annual Appeal Fund

Refurbishment of the Accra Solidarity Centre

We are currently fundraising to refurbish the administrative block @ the Solidarity Centre

The Centre is a multi-purpose community resource and capacity building facility for organisers, advocates and organizations dedicated to the promotion of alternative information and programs on Afrikan development.

Historical and Contemporary Exhibitions

We are also fundraising for the following major educational exhibitions scheduled to tour the Continent and Diaspora in 2009 and 2010.

Life, Legacy & Times of Kwame Nkrumah (1909-2009)
In September 2009, the world will commemorate the centenary of the life of Dr Kwame Nkrumah. Voted Man of the Millennium in the 2000 BBC world survey, he remains a powerful icon of Afrikan self determination decades after his death. To honour this historic centenary occasion, Moyo wa Taifa will produce an international educational exhibition on Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah’s life and legacy. Scheduled to debut in Accra in September 2009 we aim to mobilise adequate resources to produce this exhibition to international standards, tour other Afrikan countries and visit the Diaspora.

Nigeria @ 50; Crossroads of an Afrikan Giant (1960-2010)
An amalgamation of several ancient Afrikan empires, kingdoms & nations, Nigeria is home to the largest population of Afrikans globally. October 2010 marks the 50th anniversary of Nigeria’s journey on the path of self rule. To document and analyse this historic juncture, Moyo wa Taifa will produce an international educational exhibition depicting the story of the people, the land, her history and trajectory. Scheduled to debut in Lagos in October 2010, we aim to mobilise adequate resources to produce this exhibition to international standards, tour other Afrikan countries and visit the Diaspora.
